The system needs power and connectivity to send alerts in real time. If either goes out for an extended period, alerts can't be sent until service is restored. The pods are made by Sensi.AI, which is deployed in hundreds of senior-care settings across North America. They detect 100+ care signals (falls, distress, prolonged silence, sleep changes) and the AI learns your parent's normal routine over the first two weeks, so it flags real deviations rather than every sound. Alerts go to your Careby coordinator first. They review what triggered the alert, check on your parent (call, video, or send someone), and then contact you with what's happening — by phone, text, or email, whichever you've chosen. The three pods and a secure WiFi router are shipped to your parent's door. Setup is self-install — plug each pod into a wall outlet (bedroom, bathroom area, living area), plug in the router, and you're done. It takes about 30 minutes.
